On Sept. 17, 2020, a group led by Shi Yongxin, president of the Buddhist Association of Henan Province and abbot of Shaolin Temple, visited the sub-temple--Chaohua Temple in Xinmi city to inspect and guide the temple’s construction as well as COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control efforts. Monks of the Chaohua Temple gave a warm welcome to the group led by abbot Yongxin under the guidance of master Shi Yansong.

Then the group led by abbot Yongxin visited the Chaohua Temple permanent compound’s Mahaviro Hall, Yuantong Hall and ancient courtyards in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the like, knowing about the temple’s construction situation and surroundings.

In the meantime, abbot Yongxin knew about the construction situation of Chaohua Temple’s gateway, Tianwang Hall and Meditation Hall in detail and gave guidance and advice for the development planning of the temple in future, hoping that Chaohua Temple would coordinate with related departments as soon as possible and realize displacement and resettlement as well as the next step in construction planing issues.
 

At the symposium, abbot Yongxin affirmed and recognized that monks of the Chaohua Temple sticks to the excellent tradition of loving both motherland and religion, actively guide believers in right view and conduct, hoping that they could further the basic facility constructions of the temple, strengthen temple tradition’s construction to service the local believers better and make the temple become a pure land.
