The 6th China Intangible Cultural Heritage Exposition, titled “all-round well being, walking with intangible cultural heritage”, was launched in Jinan, Shandong province, on Oct. 23, 2020. The special exposition of Yellow River basin promoting traditional handicraft of Yellow River basin this year, and living inheritance of Yellow River culture, boosting protecting ecological environment. The exposition was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Shandong Provincial Government, jointly hosted by culture and tourism department of Shandong Province and Jinan municipal people’s government, continuing to Oct. 27.
The national intangible cultural heritage--Shaolin Kungfu made its public appearance as one of the highlights of this China Intangible cultural heritage exposition. Master Yanxuan, Shaolin Kungfu monks displayed a wonderful performance of Shaolin boxing under the guidance of master Yankai and master Yanxuan at the opening ceremony, winning appraise and cheers from audience on the scene.
Master Yankai said in an interview that the pithy formula is taken as the way of Shaolin Kungfu practice and teaching, combined with the patriarchal clan and sect system, whose core content is master’s teaching by personal example and disciple’s hard study and training. The exposition was reportedly divided into two plates of the online and the offline. Offline activities included offline main pavilion exhibition with three theme exhibitions of intangible exhibition of Yellow River basin, intangible cultural heritage supporting targeted poverty alleviation and so on as well as forums on targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, the intangible protection and heritage of Yellow River basin and so on. The online plate included cloud exhibiting hall, cloud sales, live-broadcasting platform, cloud intangible heritage appreciation, cloud arena of traditional handicraft and other activities.
